Hello!
My name is Ariel, your local microgreens farmer...
In 2009, I began selling sustainable technologies for the home and office to clients in my community. Among those technologies were hydroponic gardens, where I planted seeds and learned about the magnificent world of microgreens. I was and still am drawn to their beauty and intense flavors.
Today, I'm happy to apply all my knowledge and experience to what I truly love to do: live alongside these extraordinary plants and feed my clients with the tastiest, most nutritious products possible.
Mighty Greens is a small, direct-to-community farm that delivers anywhere in Houston and participates in various farmers' markets throughout the city. We specialize in growing nutrient-dense microgreens.
We change the varieties from time to time, so check our catalog for our current offerings.
At Mighty Greens,
our microgreens are our babies.
We raise our microgreens in the healthiest environment possible, planting organic seeds in the ideal substrate for each species, feeding them with organic nutrients in purified water, and providing optimal lighting for efficient photosynthesis. Great music playing in the background helps too.
We carefully observe our microgreens during every stage of the process--from planting to germination to harvesting to packaging to delivery--to understand the particularities and needs of each species.
This way, our microgreens grow to be
mighty strong, mighty flavorful,
and mighty nutritious.
We plant and harvest on demand so you benefit from maximum freshness, excellent flavor, and the highest nutritional value.
We're always aiming for the perfect microgreen, so you can be sure you'll enjoy every product in our catalog beyond your expectations.
We are Local
We produce our microgreens right here in Houston, TX to reduce our impact on the environment and give you the freshest, highest quality produce, delivered to you just hours after harvest.
Veganically Grown
Adhering to organic standards, our microgreens begin with organic seeds in organic soil, where they are nourished with organic nutrients and species-specific LED lights. And you will never see pesticides, herbicides, or animal by-products in our farm.
Climate-Controlled, from Germination to Delivery
We tightly monitor the temperature and humidity of our microgreens' environment from the moment their seeds are planted to the moment they arrive at your door, minimizing any harm that can be done during delivery and increasing shelf-life. We are always in search of maximum freshness!
Non-GMO
Our seeds are carefully selected and are always non-GMO. We use open pollinated heirloom seed, and organic varieties when they are available.
We grow indoor, far from any pollution.
We don't use pesticides neither herbicides thanks to our closed and controlled environment.
What are microgreens?
Microgreens are the earliest stage of a plant’s development, after the sprouting stage and before the baby stage.
They are “living foods," intentionally harvested and consumed in their most nutritious and delicious state.
Microgreens are up to 40x more nutrient-dense than their adult counterparts, so they can:
-
Boost your immune system
-
Lower inflammation
-
Improve gut and other organ health
-
Improve bone health
-
Improve nail and hair health
-
Increases energy and endurance
-
Contribute to weight loss
-
Balanced blood sugar
-
Reduce cholesterol levels
-
Reduce the risk of various chronic diseases
-

-
And much more!
Why are microgreens healthier than regular, adult greens like lettuce, spinach, and kale?
-
Their nutrient content is more concentrated.
-
They’re richer in B vitamins, essential amino acids, antioxidants, and folate.
-
They’re richer in macro minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium.
